Production Supervisor 2nd shift (Manufacturing Fabrication and Welding)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and welding, with the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring that production goals are met. This role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of fabrication processes, quality control, and safety standards.

Duties

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate workflow and schedules to meet production deadlines while optimizing resource allocation.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and fabrication processes.
• Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, and power tools for precise measurements and assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to guide production processes.
• Oversee the operation of machinery including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and forklifts.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency within the team.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding (MIG, TIG), rigging, machining, soldering, pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly.
• Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective project execution.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Experience operating cranes and forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year
