Production Team Lead - 2nd Shift

The Shift Team Lead is responsible for frontline leadership in day-to-day operations to include safety, quality, efficiency, and meeting customer expectations. Provides directions to production floor employees in the areas of production, training, and other related areas, striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and training to accomplish Mauser production goals, objectives to all employees regarding safety, quality, production, and maintenance.
• May conduct and/or participate in safety meetings. Conducts observations to identify safety issues and follows up as necessary with appropriate team members.
• Works with the Production Supervisor to ensure vacancies are covered for any planned /unplanned.
• Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.
• Fill out production paperwork accurately and monitor output goals around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.
• Works with other team members to control and improve efficiency, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses.
• Promote shop floor organization, plant housekeeping, with employees utilizing lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.
• Acts as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.
• May conduct tooling components inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably a packaging environment.
• Embraces continuous improvement.
• Self-directed team player.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts.

Pay: The range is $26.00-26.51 per hour. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate’s experience, work location, skills, etc.
