Production/Warehouse Associate

Successful and growing global importer and food manufacturer headquartered Utica, NY is seeking a full-time Production/Shipping & Receiving Personnel. This position is for 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will also have experience operating a forklift and moving bulk products using pumps and hoses. Top candidates will be enthusiastic, dependable, and have strong organizational skills.

Typical Duties (including but not limited to):

• Loading/Unloading tankers and railcars of bulk edible oil
• Working an assembly line to fill various oils into gallons, jugs, totes and tanks.
• Maintaining accurate shipping & receiving logs
• Assisting in physical inventory counts
• Loading/Unloading trucks with a forklift
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and complying with all good manufacturing practices
• Ensuring all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements are followed
• Assisting with preventative maintenance of warehouse facility and equipment
• Maintaining security of the warehouse and shipping docks
• Some heavy lifting is required

Preferred experience and skills include:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in warehouse and production environment
• Experience with quality control and safety programs, especially in food manufacturing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Minimum Requirements:

• Willing to work full time 40 hours per week
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
