Professional Dog Walker (Play Supervisor)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and pet care, with a passion for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs of all breeds and sizes. This role involves walking dogs in various neighborhoods, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a positive experience for both pets and their owners. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Safely walk dogs of different sizes and temperaments, adhering to individual care instructions
  • Restrain and handle dogs using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety
  • Monitor dogs for signs of distress or health issues during walks and report any concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning up after pets
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s behavior and well-being
  • Assist with pet sitting duties when needed, including feeding, administering medication, and providing companionship
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as carrying supplies or assisting with larger animals

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with dogs (dog walking, daycare, training, or kennel work preferred)
  • Strong understanding of canine behavior and group dynamics
  • Comfortable handling multiple dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • Physically active and able to walk/hike several miles per day in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for animal care and safety

Pay: $750.00 - $1,500.00 per week
