Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling premium dishes or beverages to enhance the dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, promptly addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently, including processing payments accurately
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold high sanitation standards
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills by engaging with guests professionally and courteously at all times

Experience

• Proven experience in fine dining restaurants or upscale food service environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items effectively to increase sales opportunities
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Background in hospitality or customer service roles within the food industry is highly desirable
• Experience working in nightclubs or high-energy venues is advantageous but not required
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management are essential
