The Fulton County Board of Health provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives.
The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of
PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE WORKR
within the
Fulton County Board of Health
in the
Nursing Division
Services/Maternal and Child Health Services.
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.
Provides professional nursing care within the program policies and procedures. Focus on the enrollment of families with children with special needs.
Provides case management for enrolled children and their families.
Collaborates with MCH programs, Fulton County Board of Health programs, the medical community, local school systems, and other community-based organizations to address family needs
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One year experience working with children with special needs.
One year experience in case management/care coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
