Professional Nanny - Private Family Placement (Charlottesville/Crozet Area)

Job Summary

Wise Steps Consulting partners with local families to place trusted, professional nannies in private homes throughout the Charlottesville and Crozet area. We are currently accepting applications from experienced caregivers interested in part-time or full-time family placements. Nannies are hired directly by the family, while Wise Steps Consulting supports the matching and onboarding process. We value caregivers who are dependable, communicative, and committed to building strong, respectful relationships with families.

This position is in-home and open to candidates who currently live within commuting distance of the Charlottesville/Earlysville area. Relocation and remote work are not available.

Summary of Duties

Duties vary by family but typically include:

• Providing attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care in a private home
• Supporting daily routines such as meals, naps, playtime, and transitions
• Engaging children through play, reading, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate learning
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment related to the children
• Communicating regularly and professionally with parents regarding schedules, routines, and child needs
• Supporting household expectations and family values with consistency and care

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
