As a Power Platform Engineer, this role is responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Power Platform solutions that deliver secure, reliable, and well-governed business outcomes. The engineer works within established architectural standards to develop applications, automations, integrations, and analytics that meet business needs while supporting scalability and longterm platform health.

This role partners closely with IT, business stakeholders, and citizen developers to implement solutions, resolve technical challenges, and promote effective use of the Power Platform. The Power Platform Engineer plays a key role in enabling innovation and operational efficiency by providing technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the solution lifecycle.

Our Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Team focuses on empowering employees through intuitive, reliable digital tools. Success in this role requires hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform ecosystem, along with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, well‑implemented solutions. As part of our team, you will collaborate with coworkers in a dynamic and supportive environment to help ensure technology is used effectively to achieve organizational goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Administration of the Power Platform. Monitor and manage environments, data policies, settings for Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Supports end users in driving successful business outcomes through the Power Platform.
  • Monitors Power Platform activity to ensure appropriate usage and reports key metrics to leadership teams.
  • Collaborates in solution reviews and quality assurance efforts to ensure Power Platform solutions are reliable, usable, and aligned with standards.
  • Maintains Power Platform infrastructure and supports upgrades and changes in alignment with change management principles to ensure stable platform operations.
  • Identify new Microsoft technology enhancements as they are released; understand product capabilities, positioning, deployment strategies, end user documentation, best practices, and potential risks.
  • Uses Power Query (M) to extract, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources for use in Power BI and Power Platform solutions.
  • Evaluate customer-identified solution architecture and consult with the Power Platform Architect if needed to determine feasibility.
  • Manage Data Integrations with Azure Services and REST based API’s Manage the portfolio of power platform products to ensure application architecture is aligned with MVP’s current and future needs.
  • Ensure Power Platform solutions comply with organizational security, privacy, and data governance requirements, including DLP policies, connector risk management, and audit readiness.
  • Provide implementation guidance and architectural recommendations; escalate complex or enterprise‑wide design decisions to the Power Platform Architect.
  • Works with teams across MVP to enable and support citizen developers through the Power Platform.
  • Provide technical support to Citizen Developers in building solutions.
  • Ensure citizen development solution architecture decisions are made in accordance with established standards.
  • Works within the organization to promote and champion the citizen development mindset.
  • Helps define and maintain adoption metrics to assess and improve citizen development across the Power Platform.
  • Lead demonstrations, training, proofs of concept, and pilot initiatives to enable and mature citizen developer capabilities.
  • Provide technical support to Citizen Developers in building solutions.
  • Offers technical support to Citizen Developers in alignment with the citizen development support model, prioritizing self‑service and Community of Practice collaboration.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Education, Licensures, & Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or related field. In lieu of degree, 3-4 years’ related experience will be considered.
  • Years of Experience (Required & Preferred)
    • 3-4 years of experience related to IT delivery, software development, or power platform implementation.
    • Experience with M365 tools.
    • Strong technical background in Microsoft Power Platform
    • Experience with programming Python or a similar language, JSON, APIs, and Azure data services preferred.
    • Experience designing and working with data models and analytical datasets in Power BI and Dataverse, with familiarity in data warehousing and data management concepts.
    • Experience employing various Agile techniques (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.) preferred.
    • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Pay Transparency


MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles. Specific employment offers and associated compensation will be extended individually based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location; relevant experience, education, and training; and the nature of and demand for the role.
