The Professional Tutor role plays a vital part in the growth and continued development of the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC). Working closely with supervisors and other TLC staff, Professional Tutors deliver high-level academic support to students across a wide range of courses. Establishing these positions as full-time roles strengthens the department’s resources while helping retain skilled and experienced tutors. This approach supports the TLC’s mission and advances Sinclair’s goal of being the “College of Choice.” It also reflects research emphasizing the importance of consistent support and accessible services. In this role, Professional Tutors bring a strong understanding of the institution and the specific needs of Sinclair students.
Current content areas that the Tutoring and Learning Center is looking for support in include: Writing Lab (English composition, social sciences, communication, and general writing support for health sciences and other content areas) or biology (general biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology).
This is a full-time position with regularly scheduled hours to be in-person on the Dayton campus.
The salary for this position begins at $49,701.00 and is commensurate with education and experience.
