Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Professional Writer (Part-Time) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing clear and concise documents that communicate complex information in an understandable format. This role supports the development of legal, technical, and informational materials used by our office and clients. The position requires strong writing ability, careful attention to detail, and the ability to organize information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Research and draft written materials including articles, guides, informational materials, and internal documentation.
• Translate complex legal or technical information into clear, reader-friendly language.
• Edit and proofread documents for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
• Assist with preparing written content for websites, publications, and informational materials.
• Organize and maintain document files and writing drafts.
• Work with attorneys and staff to gather information necessary for written materials.
• Format documents for publication or distribution.
• Assist with reviewing and updating previously written materials when necessary.
• Ensure written content meets professional standards and maintains a consistent tone and format.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex topics in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word or similar document software.
• Ability to learn new software and research tools as needed.
• Prior experience in writing, editing, journalism, communications, or a related field is helpful but not required.
• Interest in legal, technical, or professional writing is preferred.
