Job Description – Professor / Senior Trainer (Ports & Logistics Program)

Location: Mundra, Kutch (Gujarat)

Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 [Negotiable]

Work Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 Years

Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in Technical or Engineering discipline (preferred specialization in Port Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Marine Engineering)

About the Role:

The Professor / Senior Trainer will be responsible for delivering academic and practical sessions for the Work Study Diploma in Ports and Logistics. The role involves training learners on technical, operational, and managerial aspects of port and logistics operations, ensuring alignment with NSQF/NCVET standards and industry best practices.

Key Role Objectives:

Academic Delivery

Deliver semester-wise theoretical and practical training sessions as per the course framework.

Facilitate modules on Port Operations, Cargo Handling, Logistics Planning, Documentation, and Compliance.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and case studies to support effective learning.

Guide learners through on-the-job (OJT) activities and classroom-based training sessions.

Industry Integration & Practical Training

Support hands-on learning using simulation, scenario-based learning, and field visits.

Integrate industry tools and technology, including IoT, automation, and cargo handling systems.

Coordinate with port authorities and logistics companies for experiential learning and assessments.

Assessment & Reporting

Conduct formative and summative assessments as per the prescribed formats.

Evaluate student performance through practical evaluations, assignments, and viva sessions.

Maintain academic documentation, attendance, and performance reports.

Trainer Development & Curriculum Support

Contribute to curriculum enhancement and modular content validation.

Participate in Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs and industry upskilling sessions.

Ensure course compliance with NCVET/NSQF standards.

Student Engagement & Mentoring

Provide counseling and guidance to students on academic and career pathways.

Maintain a positive and professional learning environment.

Encourage discipline, participation, and teamwork among learners.

Basic Requirements:

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Professor, Trainer, or Senior Instructor in Ports, Shipping, or Logistics.

Strong technical understanding of port operations, marine logistics, and cargo handling.

Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Hands-on experience in using digital tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia-based training.

Familiarity with NSQF/NCVET training standards will be an advantage.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior industry experience in port operations or logistics management.

Salary:

₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month [Negotiable based on qualification and experience]
