Professor/Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies

• Provide strategic vision and leadership to advance the research mission. • Promote and support faculty and student research, scholarship, and grant-seeking activities, with a goal of securing funding from bodies such as the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). • Oversee the development, administration, and continuous improvement of all graduate programs, including leading initiatives for the potential creation of new Master’s and PhD-level programs. • Identify and facilitate internal and external research funding opportunities for faculty and graduate students. • Lead the college's efforts in achieving and maintaining programmatic accreditation from relevant international bodies. • Ensure compliance with all university policies on research ethics, academic integrity, and graduate studies. • Represent the College on university-level committees related to research and graduate education. • Mentor faculty and graduate students in their scholarly pursuits and professional development. Qualifications • Education: PhD in a field relevant to Sport Sciences, with preference for expertise in sports injuries prevention and rehabilitation. • Experience: o Must hold the academic rank of Associate or Full Professor. o A distinguished and internationally recognized record of scholarly research, with a strong history of securing significant external funding as a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI. o Demonstrated experience in senior academic administration (e.g., Department Head, Director) with a focus on research and graduate program management. o Proven experience in curriculum and program development, including the successful creation, launch, and implementation of new doctoral (PhD) and master's (MS) degree programs. o Direct experience leading the entire accreditation cycle, from self-study to securing initial and reaccreditation for graduate programs from a major international accreditor (e.g., CAATE). • Skills: o Strong leadership, administrative, and strategic planning skills. o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. o A thorough understanding of the research funding landscape and the graduate education environment.
