Role Purpose
This role involves developing and managing SAS Activity-Based Management (ABM) and Cost and Profitability models to optimize cost structures and enhance profitability. It requires collaboration with finance, operations, and IT to refine costing models and ensure alignment with business activities. Additionally, the role oversees the design and maintenance of ETL processes, Oracle and MS SQL Server database administration, and SAS server management, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Advanced troubleshooting and the creation of complex financial models in SAS are also essential responsibilities.

Minimum role requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in relevant filed; preferably in computer science.

Experience: A Minimum of 7 years

Technologies: SAS (ABM\CPM), ETL (EG\SSIS), Database (SQL Server\Oracle).
Key Accountabilities
-
Software Implementation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, implementation, and maintenance of Cost and Profitability Management software, focusing on detailed costing data analysis. Lead SAS software server configuration (SAS Grid, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Web Application Servers) to ensure performance, fault tolerance, and security compliance.

ETL & Data Integration: Design and maintain ETL processes in SAS Enterprise Guide, integrating data from various sources to ensure reliability in reporting and analysis. Implement data validation and error handling for data accuracy.

Activity-Based Management & Reporting: Develop and manage SAS Activity-Based Management models, including cost driver identification, resource allocation, and submission of SRA reports for Oman TRA, ensuring accurate cost allocation reflecting operational activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with finance, operations, and IT teams to refine activity-based costing models, aligning financial data with operational processes for precise resource utilization and cost flow modeling.

Database Administration (SQL Server & Oracle): Administer and optimize SQL Server databases for integrity and performance. Design and deploy PL/SQL and MS SQL solutions, including efficient schema designs, backup, recovery, and clustering for system health and fault tolerance.

Advanced Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert support across SAS, Oracle, and MS SQL, using diagnostic tools for root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes for recurring issues.

IT Access Management for Costing Team: Manage access requirements for the costing team, including shared drives, Costing System, and relevant domains.
