Program Analyst (candidate identified)

This position is responsible for assisting with the execution of the company’s comprehensive technology strategy. Strategic initiatives will be focused on driving departmental objectives, which include evaluating the company’s operational systems and implementing strategic data initiatives across the organization.
The Program Analyst will actively engage with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify core business requirements and suggest modifications to improve internal systems and third-party applications. This role will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our organization's IT systems and working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our technology solutions align with business objectives and outcomes. This role requires outstanding communications skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with individuals at all levels of the firm.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), leading the design and development of applications, databases, and websites, and identified related system components.
  • Participates in short- and long-term planning to improve business applications and works closely with project stakeholders to ensure all systems are aligned with business outcomes.
  • Proactively analyzes existing business applications to identify weaknesses, develop opportunities for improvements, and assist in the evaluation for enhancements and new applications.
  • Research and recommend solutions to support and maintain customer applications
  • Work with scrum teams and project stakeholders to gather requirements, assess performance metrics, and address any issues that arise.
  • Assist in creating and implementing all phases of application testing from unit test to system test to acceptance testing. Develop comprehensive end-to-end test cases at the application and multi-application levels.
  • Participate in system upgrades and enhancements for software systems, as needed. Work with vendors to manage upgrades, enhancements, patches, and fixes on a timely basis. Provide general oversight to vendors of hosted systems.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of development and application changes, performance metrics, and technical procedures.
  • Assist in supporting and identifying resolution of incidents which involve business applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adhere to company’s policies and procedures, and comply with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, private equity, alternative investments, and/or real estate, with associated knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends Proven track record of success in IT project execution, including innovation, technology selections, and prioritization of development initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably within an IT environment.
  • Strong experience with application configuration and development experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, and testing.
  • Understanding of SQL programming and relational databases including SSIS and SSRS.
  • Deep understanding and experience of developing ETL processes, APIs, JSON and XML.
  • Experience working through the software development life cycle and agile frameworks, across all development phases including design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Must be driven and focused on business outcomes and delivery of business value.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work both with a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to engage effectively and professionally in both an one-on-one and group settings with third parties such as clients, peers, and vendors.
  • Experience with eFront, Unqork, Salesforce, HubSpot, and/or fund administration systems is a plus.
Annual Base Salary Range: $105,000-$115,000. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program.
