The Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our agency’s mission by providing comprehensive administrative and programmatic support. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position ensures the smooth operation of day-to-day activities, helps manage key agency programs, and enhances our outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, supporting fundraising efforts, community outreach, and program initiatives that have a lasting impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the central point of contact for general program support, managing tasks such as answering phones, filing, emailing, recruitment, intake, and providing assistance during events and fundraising initiatives.
- Manage and input data for program reporting and grant applications using MS ACCESS, EXCEL, and ASISTS, while performing preliminary data analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Play a key role in recruitment, enrollment, and support of participants and volunteers, ensuring high levels of engagement through effective communication and outreach.
- Coordinate logistics for events and fundraising efforts, including managing schedules, organizing materials, and facilitating community engagement activities.
- Provide administrative support for participant intake, appointment scheduling, and the overall coordination of program services.
- Complete necessary training, including the Tutor Training Workshop and ASISTS database training, to effectively support program needs.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organization: Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team Player: Dependable and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel), with experience in database management and report generation.
- Language Skills: Bilingual a plus
- Flexibility: Willingness to adjust the schedule for special events and fundraising needs.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
HOURS & COMPENSATION:
This is a part-time position, with 21-24 hours per week. Pay is competitive, ranging from $20 to $21 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
