Reports to: Senior Manager, Launch Operations and Program Design

Purpose

The Program Design Manager is responsible for creating and refining business rules and patient journey workflows for new product launches. This role ensures that workflows align with manufacturer expectations, operational capabilities, and patient-centric principles. The position requires strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality program designs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of business rules and patient journey workflows for each new launch.
  • Translates clinical and operational requirements into clear, actionable workflows.
  • Ensures workflow designs align with manufacturer expectations and operational capabilities.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders needed for business rules development.
  • Participates in external manufacturer meetings to review the business rules and workflows.
  • Provides recommendations to internal and external stakeholders regarding the patient journey workflow.
  • Collaborates with teams internally during mock launch exercises to provide workflow insights and create mock launch scenarios for each new launch.
  • Coordinates post-launch debriefs with internal stakeholders to evaluate program design and identify areas of improvement.
  • Supports continuous improvement of business rules templates and workflow standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in system implementations, or related healthcare experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both management and staff at all levels.
  • Proven experience managing client-facing projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or patient services.
  • Familiarity with workflow design and process improvement methodologies.

Work Environment

This position operates in a home or professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings, or working with various forms of data.
