About the Role
SALAM's Refugee School Impact (RSI) Project serves ORR-eligible refugee families in the Greater Sacramento region through three service areas: Youth Educational Development (YED), Family Engagement & Education (FEE), and Early Childhood Development (ECD).
We are hiring three Program Facilitators to deliver direct service across all three areas under the direction of the Program Coordinator. Facilitators provide tutoring and enrichment for K–12 youth, co-facilitate family workshops, and support parent-child early childhood sessions — all in a culturally and linguistically responsive way.
This is a grant-funded position, contingent on the availability of grant funds.
Language Requirement
Each Facilitator must be fluent in English plus at least one of the following priority languages:
Applicants do not need to speak more than one of the priority languages. SALAM will select the three Facilitators so that the team collectively covers three different languages from the list above.

Team Structure
Program Facilitators work as a team of three, reporting to the Program Coordinator. Between them, the Facilitators cover three of the six priority languages so that outreach, tutoring, workshops, and early childhood sessions can be delivered in the language each family is most comfortable in.
Salary and Term:
This is a part-time, grant-funded contract position paying $20 per hour, supported by the Refugee School Impact (RSI) Grant. The term runs May 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, and continued engagement beyond the grant term is contingent on future funding.
As an independent contractor, the Facilitator is not eligible for employee benefits.
