Program Leader Visual Arts

1-Maintain strong connections within the visual arts industry to leverage professional relationships for program development and opportunities.

2-Develop and sustain a professional network within the visual arts field to support collaboration, faculty engagement, and industry partnerships.

3-Provide academic and administrative leadership for the visual arts program, ensuring effective management and coordination of all program activities.

4-Lead the design and review of the visual arts curriculum to ensure quality, relevance, and compliance with NQF and accreditation standards.

5-Collaborate with external and international partners to enhance the program's profile and relevance, without reliance on them.

6-Oversee the day-to-day management of visual arts program delivery, including teaching schedules, resource planning, budget oversight, and use of technical production equipment.

7-Monitor teaching quality, learning outcomes, and assessment practices in the visual arts program to ensure continuous quality enhancement.

8-Oversee curriculum planning, management, and execution for the visual arts program.

Requirements:

1-Experienced in planning and managing resources, including staff, time, facilities, and budgets within the visual arts program.

2-Proficient in analyzing student performance and feedback to inform program adjustments and improvements.

3-Ability to supervise, motivate, and support faculty and administrative staff involved in the visual arts program.

4-PhD degree minimum in visual arts, Media, or a relevant field;.

5-Proven experience in academic program design, teaching, and quality assurance within the visual arts or media sector.
