Summary of role
Works closely with relevant program (Talent 2033) teams to ensure clear communication / coordination among all key project stakeholders and mobilize project team for successful implementation
- Ensures successful project delivery through effective project management practices and discipline
- Identifies and escalates risk and issues. reports external and internal dependencies — determines and monitors mitigation and corrective actions: ensures program objectives are met. decisions/issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Drives preparation of all communications/reporting to senior stakeholders (i.e., leadership)
Responsibilities
- Develops project plans with a standardized methodology and approach, validate and with all stakeholders considering targets, interdependencies, and available resources
- Coordinates and communicates project activities with all stakeholders across all management levels ensuring alignment across relevant teams
- Facilitates leadership meetings (prepares herself/himself if required) by mobilizing multiple stakeholders, including agenda items, document preparation and following up on decisions and action items. ensuring effective and timely decision-making
- Reflects experiences from previous activities and projects in the form of lessons learned and best practice methodologies to ongoing projects
- Monitors risks & issues related to individual projects. escalates to overseeing team. determines and monitors mitigation and corrective actions
- Drives timely and high-quality decision making by providing business cases, alternative scenarios, pros and cons assessments
Required qualifications & experience
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, or STEM fields
- 6+ experience in in management role and experience in project management in a multinational company or public sector company
- Hands-on experience in large scale program / project delivery
- Experience in working with / for UAE / Dubai government
- Proven leadership skills with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills to manage key senior stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills to facilitate decision-making process at leadership level
- Analytical and structured thinking ability, balanced with attention to detail to successfully plan and oversee complex and large scale projects/programs
Result-oriented mindset with a successful track record of leading complex projects to business / strategic results
Technical skills:
- Strong technical know-how in program/project management methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Project management certification is a plus
