UPMC is looking for a full-time Program Manager of Consulting Services.

This position works Monday- Friday, standard daylight hours. Some travel to local UPMC facilities required.

This is a hybrid position with 2-4 days per month required on site. This is subject to change based on business need.

Purpose:
Serving as UPMC's Program Manager of Consulting Services, your responsibilities will be to serve as a project manager responsible for assessments, transition and implementations. The primary role of this position is to work with Supply Chain Management's leadership, and operations to ensure a smooth implementation and seamless transition. Implementation will require engagements with all operational teams including but not limited to finance, analytics, logistics, sourcing, pharmacy, content and marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional solutioning team which may include direct reports (Process Consultants and Process Analyst) as well as indirect Subject Matter Experts
  • Lead, develop and mentor team members
  • Actively participate in the implementation of new services and programs
  • Prepares and presents timely project status
  • Manage effective communications
  • Develop and maintain templates for standard and consistent solutioning which allows for appropriate variation to meet the needs of each unique customer
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • One of the following combinations of education and experience is required:
    • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related field and 10 years progressive supply chain or equivalent industry knowledge and experience required.
    • Associates degree in Supply Chain or related field and 12 years progressive supply chain or equivalent industry knowledge and experience required.
    • High school diploma and 14 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years executive engagement experience is required
  • ISM (Institute for Supply Management) CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), and/or APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or CIRM (Certified in Integrated Resource Management) is desired
  • Business analysis, strategic thinking, strong communication skills and relationship building with strong influence and change management abilities required.
  • Outstanding leadership skills are required; C-Level experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project and Program management, including project planning.
  • Demonstrated experience managing matrix reports and cross-functional teams (including team members from multiple business units and different operational departments)
  • Proven ability to provide leadership to teams and establish strong customer relationships
  • Excellent management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Lean process improvement or six sigma experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management required
