Program Manager (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This is an exceptional opportunity to drive meaningful environmental impact through strategic program management and performance analytics. The successful candidate will serve as a critical member of a team dedicated to advancing corporate carbon and waste reduction goals, working at the intersection of sustainability, supply chain operations, and data-driven decision making. This role requires a seasoned professional who can translate complex sustainability metrics into actionable insights, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and communicate progress to executive stakeholders. The position demands strong analytical capabilities, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to influence diverse teams toward shared environmental objectives. As a central figure in governance and reporting functions, you will help standardize practices, enable collaboration across sourcing and logistics teams, and accelerate progress toward ambitious sustainability commitments while mitigating financial risk.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and track comprehensive performance metrics for sustainability initiatives, including carbon emissions and waste reduction impact measurements
Manage financial tracking and reporting for sustainability programs across multiple business units
Coordinate key results and highlights updates across diverse sustainability stakeholders and partner organizations
Provide regular progress updates and analytical insights for ongoing sustainability programs
Develop and deliver executive-level presentations communicating program performance and strategic recommendations
Coordinate action plans with project owners to ensure timely execution and alignment with organizational goals
Update management reporting systems and maintain accurate program documentation
Facilitate cross-team collaboration between sourcing, engineering, logistics, and sustainability functions
Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Support governance processes that drive accountability and progress toward environmental targets
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience with MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
Minimum 8 years of experience presenting insights to executives and stakeholders
Minimum 8 years of experience in program management, preferably for supply chain and/or sustainability teams
Experience managing sustainability projects is highly preferred
Supply chain operations experience is highly preferred
Experience working with AI productivity tools and developing productivity solutions is a plus
Master's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in project management, operations, or engineering, OR
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in project management, operations, or engineering, OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and visualization
Executive-level presentation and communication skills with ability to distill complex information for senior leadership
Program management expertise with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
Data interpretation and metrics development skills
Cross-functional collaboration and influencing abilities
Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Financial tracking and budget management capabilities
Process improvement and standardization expertise
Adaptability and openness to feedback for continuous improvement
Additional Details:
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months
Pay Range*: $62 - $70.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
Job Status: Non-Exempt
