Job Overview
A leading autonomous ride-hailing company is seeking a Program Manager, Fleet Operations to oversee the reliable and efficient operation of its autonomous vehicle fleet. This role focuses on delivering cross-functional projects, optimizing maintenance and repair workflows, and improving vehicle uptime across service and R&D fleets.
You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to manage fleet programs, streamline processes, and ensure vehicles are properly configured and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed program plans for fleet initiatives, including milestones, service checkpoints, and project roadmaps
- Create and implement risk mitigation strategies for fleet-wide issues
- Oversee fleet management activities such as production planning, vehicle movements, and operational readiness
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to align on program goals and drive actions
- Optimize maintenance and repair workflows to reduce downtime and increase fleet availability
- Support work instruction development, demand planning, parts planning, and tooling needs
- Utilize Engineering Bill of Materials (EBoM) and Service Bill of Materials (SBoM) for accurate configuration management
- Translate engineering requirements into actionable rework tasks
- Lead the resolution of containment tasks and coordinate technician and vehicle scheduling
Requirements
- 3+ years of Program or Project Management experience
- 3+ years of automotive industry experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Proficiency in Jira/Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask, manage tight timelines, and remain calm under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fleet configuration, maintenance workflow optimization, or AV operations
- Familiarity with KPI development, process mapping, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Background supporting engineering or technician teams
- Understanding of vehicle lifecycle planning or R&D fleet support
