SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Impact, the Project Manager will coordinate, implement, and evaluate community-based educational interventions delivered by CHWs. The role involves designing culturally relevant health education programs, developing curricula and materials, conducting pre- and post-intervention surveys and interviews, managing data collection and analysis, and ensuring timely reporting. The Project Manager will work closely with Community Health, Education & Training investigators, community partners, and CHWs to ensure interventions align with community needs and research data-collection protocols.


Job Responsibilities:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Behavioral or Community Health (or related field) preferred; Bachelor’s with extensive experience acceptable.
  • = 3 years’ experience managing community-based or educational health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-site interventions and supervise CHWs.
  • Proficiency in Qualtrics/REDCap, SPSS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cultural-competence skills.

  • Regulatory & Ethical Compliance: Understands and adheres to human subjects protections, IRB procedures, and data privacy requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Design & Implementation

  • Co-develop, plan, and implement educational and behavioral intervention programs in partnership with community health workers (CHWs) and community partners.
  • Adapt evidence-based curricula and health promotion materials to meet the cultural and contextual needs of target communities.
  • Coordinate logistics for program sessions, workshops, and field activities, ensuring accessibility and participant engagement.
  • Training & Supervision
    • Support recruitment, training, and coordination of CHWs and other facilitators.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, materials, and technical assistance to ensure consistent program delivery and data collection.
  • Data Collection & Evaluation
    • Develop and administer pre- and post-intervention surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
    • Collect, manage, and maintain participant-level data using REDCap, Qualtrics, or comparable systems.
    • Ensure data quality control, confidentiality, and alignment with institutional review board (IRB) protocols.
    • Work with the evaluation team to summarize findings and identify areas for program improvement.
  • Community Engagement & Communication
    • Serve as liaison between the Office of Community Health, Education and Training (CHET), research investigators, and community stakeholders.
    • Represent the program at meetings, events, and conferences.
    • Support culturally responsive communication strategies and foster community trust.
  • Reporting & Grant Support
    • Track and report on project progress, deliverables, and metrics.
    • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for funders and leadership.
    • Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and grant proposals.
  • Other Duties
    • Maintain organized project files and records.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned in support of CHET’s mission to advance health equity.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include 20/40 vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Work is primarily indoors, but some events may require the incumbent to be in an outdoor environment when traveling between campus buildings or off campus. Must be willing to travel, and work evenings and weekends, as needed.

This is a part-time position estimated for 20-25. Standard office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, however work after hours will be required to meet the demands of the position during peak times. Training sessions may be presented after regular work hours.
