Program Manager – SharePoint Migration

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee SharePoint migration initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program and project management, a solid understanding of SharePoint environments, and proven experience in planning and executing large-scale content or system migrations.

This role involves coordinating multiple teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful migration of data, workflows, and applications to SharePoint Online or newer SharePoint versions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end SharePoint migration program, from assessment and planning to execution and post-migration support.
• Develop and maintain the migration roadmap, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, Infrastructure, Development, Business Units) to ensure seamless delivery.
• Oversee data and content migration using tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or Microsoft Migration Manager.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the migration process.
• Manage risks, issues, and change control processes related to migration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define migration success metrics.
• Conduct post-migration validation, end-user training, and adoption programs.
• Provide regular program updates and reports to senior management.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–12 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in program/project management.
• Proven experience in SharePoint migrations (SharePoint Server to SharePoint Online or hybrid environments).
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, and workflows.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, and OneDrive integrations.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 or Azure cloud migration projects.
• Exposure to enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives.
