Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of Meals on Wheels Collin County’s core mission programs, including Food Services, Congregate sites, Client Services, and Volunteer Services. This position ensures the efficient delivery of nutritious meals and supportive services to seniors while maintaining high standards for safety, compliance, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The Program Manager supervises program staff, coordinates cross-department collaboration, and ensures that services are delivered reliably to meet the needs of seniors experiencing food insecurity and isolation. This role works closely with leadership and Community Engagement to support program growth, quality improvement, and mission impact.
The Program Manager works closely with internal teams, volunteers, and community partners to ensure operational excellence while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and service standards.
Program Oversight and Coordination
- Oversee the daily operations of Food Services, Congregate Services, Client Services, and Volunteer Services programs.
- Ensure seamless coordination between departments to support efficient meal preparation, routing, and delivery.
- Monitor program performance, workflow, and service quality across all service areas.
- Identify operational improvements to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Support program planning and implementation of new initiatives that expand service capacity.
- Ensure consistent adherence to agency policies, safety procedures, and service protocols.
Food Services Oversight
- Monitor meal production, inventory management, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and agency protocols.
- Coordinate with the Food Services team and Logistics teams to ensure meal production meets quality, safety, and nutrition standards.
- Monitor client feedback and implement services with the logistics teams to address special dietary needs, and effective Food program delivery that address client food needs
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure reliable and efficient meal delivery.
Client Services Management
- Oversee intake, assessments, homevisits and ongoing client support services.
- Ensure timely follow-up on client concerns, missed meals, or service issues.
- Monitor client satisfaction and service outcomes.
- Support case management processes and maintain accurate client records.
- Monitor client records and data entry for accuracy and compliance.
Volunteer Services Oversight
- Supervise volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement for meal delivery programs.
- Ensure volunteers are properly trained, scheduled, and supported.
- Work with the Community Engagement team to strengthen volunteer recruitment and retention strategies.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and compliance with agency requirements.
Data, Reporting, and Compliance
- Ensure accurate documentation of program services and service delivery metrics.
- Monitor and assist with reporting requirements for funders and internal leadership.
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, safety standards, and service protocols.
- Track service performance metrics such as meal delivery counts, volunteer engagement, and client service outcomes.
- Identify risks or service gaps and implement action plans
Collaboration & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support program growth and service expansion.
- Assist with program planning and operational improvements.
- Support grant reporting and program evaluation efforts.
- Represent the organization in community meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social services, public administration, nutrition, food services, restaurant, hospitality management, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of program management or operational leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community service organization.
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating multi-department programs.
- Experience in food services, senior services, volunteer management, or community programs preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
