- Job Costing & Budgeting: Create, maintain, and monitor project budgets, allocating costs (materials, labor, equipment) to specific job codes to identify overruns.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements, project status reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Contractor & Supplier Payments: Process subcontractor payments, review lien waivers, and verify invoices against completed work.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with labor laws, subcontractor payments, and local tax regulations (e.g., VAT in the UAE).
- Project Control: Monitor contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and monitor daily site manpower reports
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2–3+ years of accounting experience specifically within a construction or contracting company.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP) and strong Excel skills.
