Project Analyst, HR Operations

We’re hiring a Project Analyst, HR Operations to join the UPMC team. This is a regular, full-time position that offers flexible work arrangements.

In this role, the Project Analyst will provide support and accountability for project management efforts. They’ll be responsible for monitoring, documenting and reporting progress and performance for defined project objectives and measures as well as for assisting in the development and maintenance of detailed project plans. Additionally, they’ll work with Human Resources team members and internal customer groups to support the development and execution of processes, programs, and solutions to achieve successful business outcomes. Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Human Resources Operations team on a variety of project initiatives including mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, enterprise-wide technology advancements, business process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support multiple concurrent large-scale projects, ensuring progress, alignment, and timely execution across all assigned initiatives.
  • Manage small-scale projects, with the support of a Project Manager or the Manager, HR Program Operations.
  • Communicate effectively UPMC leadership, management, and staff to provide updates, gather requirements, and ensure project clarity and alignment.
  • Monitor key deadlines and proactively advise the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders of upcoming milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and barriers, and collaborate with project teams to develop solutions that support successful project outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of project plans and support project initiatives within the timeline defined for each project effort.
  • Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, including meeting minutes, project deliverables, status reports, etc..
  • Organize and maintain project records within approved document management and archival systems.
  • Coordinate project-related administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing Teams and SharePoint sites, and supporting general project logistics, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Management or closely related field and two years of related work experience in project management.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of related work experience in project management.
  • Health care experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Very well organized and deadline conscious.
  • Project Management knowledge and future potential to independently manage projects required.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
