Duties and Responsibilities – Project Architect (Fit-Out and Construction)

  • Develop architectural concepts, detailed drawings, and construction documents for fit-out and construction projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local authority regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure quality and compliance with approved designs.
  • Coordinate with MEP, structural, and interior design teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare project presentations, reports, BOQs, and documentation.
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical support and design solutions.
  • Monitor construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in obtaining authority approvals and permits when required.
  • Lead and supervise architectural teams and junior staff.
  • Ensure effective space planning, functionality, and design coordination for fit-out projects.
  • Resolve on-site design and construction issues promptly.
  • Maintain project records, revisions, and correspondence.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Licensed Architect or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in fit-out and construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, fit-out execution, and construction methodologies.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or exhibition fit-out projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, and other architectural software.
  • Good understanding of UAE building regulations, authority approvals, and safety standards.
  • Strong project management and site coordination skills.
  • Ability to review shop drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • UAE driving license is an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Project Controller

  • Project Review: Regularly assess progress and recommend corrective actions.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track costs, and ensure financial constraints are respected. A clear project budget is essential for monitoring costs and establishing project controls. Effective management of project cost within the framework of project controls is crucial for a project's success.
  • Project Implementation: Provide input during design and implementation phases to ensure alignment with the overall plan.
  • People Management: Manage teams, resolve conflicts, and create a collaborative work environment.
  • Progress Tracking: Utilize KPIs and periodic reviews to track milestones and deadlines.
  • Project Closeout: Ensure all deliverables are met and the project is successfully concluded.
  • Change Management: Oversee the integration of new processes or technologies.
  • Data Management: Establish and maintain data structures that facilitate decision-making and reporting. Assist the Head of Department (HOD) in managing meetings, appointments, and related administrative tasks.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
