Position Summary: Project Assistant
The project assistant is responsible for assisting the project engineer (PE) to ensure all the necessary actions, materials, and processes are in place to support turning a newly designed part into a locked configuration. They will also assist in maintaining configuration control for products and materials established as production ready.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred in technical, or related field
- Proven experience in technical field or similar experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verb
- Good organization and problem-solving skills
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in coordinating and managing pilot/sample production efforts to ensure all aspects of products are ready for high volume manufacturing
- Assist in coordinating with other departments on all drawings and documentation to verify accuracy and completion
- Assist in initiating, controlling, and managing engineer changes (ECO/ECR) and deviations that impact parts production readiness
- Assist in developing and maintaining timelines for pilot/sample production and relay information to applicable stakeholders
- Assist in providing data needed for quarterly updates on past performance to include KPI’s, goals, and actions to achieve goals
- Assist in managing any external qualification or certification requirements for the product
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of quality standards preferred
- MS Office
- ERP management software programs
- Understanding of the manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage Excel models for pricing, materials, planning and any other program related functions
