ABOUT KARPOWERSHIP


Karpowership, part of the Karadeniz Holding, is the owner, operator and builder of the only Powership™ (floating power plant) fleet in the world and plays an active role in medium to long-term investments; providing access to fast-track, affordable and reliable electricity. Powerships have a range of 30 MW to 470 MW and are delivered ready to operate in less than 60 days. Currently, Karpowership owns and operates 36 Powerships with an installed capacity exceeding 3,500 MW and another 5,000 MW are under construction or in the pipeline. In addition to a Powership fleet, Karpowership owns and operates its own LNG fleet. With expertise and experience in the field, Karpowership serves as a one-stop-shop for LNG to Power solutions, as a single provider delivering all parts of the value chain; including but not limited to LNG sourcing, transport, delivery, regasification, and electricity production; with the mission of powering life wherever needed. With more than 2,600 employees globally; Karpowership is operational in Mozambique, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Gabon, Sudan, Ivory Coast, New Caledonia, Guyana, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Cuba.


We are looking for "PROJECT ASSISTANT MANAGER" who will be working mainly for our Power Plant projects in MENA region. The candidate shall be based in HQ Istanbul Office and responsible for ensuring all business activities and resources be directed towards the achievement of Company objectives. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications;


WHAT DO WE EXPECT?


Engineering degree ; MBA or master’s degree is a plus

• At least 6-7 years of experience (minimum 5 years in international project management and/or business development)

• Experienced in the commercial management of international investment projects in the energy sector

• Experience in Middle East and North Africa is a plus

• Excellent written and spoken English , Arabic , and Turkish

• Thorough knowledge of project operations and financial processes

• Strong attention to detail with a drive to provide exceptional administrative support

• Very good command of MS Office applications

• High-level presentation skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills

• Strong influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills to drive a collaborative culture at all levels

• Strong critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills

• Financial understanding and business mindset

• A proactive and effective team player

• Ability to work well as part of a strategic team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously

• No military obligation for male candidates

WHAT AWAITS YOU?


• Ensure that all business activities and resources are directed towards achieving Company objectives

• Coordinate activities to ensure the commencement and performance of commercial operations of all Power Plants according to schedule, budget, and specifications

• Resolve customer issues related to billing, plant performance, outages, or failure to meet expectations/contract requirements

• Participate in all project-related meetings with customers and local authorities

• Prepare flowcharts for project-related procedures (customs, payments, etc.) and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure process performance

• Serve as the main interface between the customer and the Company

• Supervise the preparation of internal and external business, operational, and compliance reports, budgets, and forecasts as required

• Verify the validity of all business and plant operating permits and requirements; ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

• Actively participate in and conclude commercial negotiations on local agreements

• Periodically review all plant policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current commercial and operational requirements

• Audit O&M performance against agreed dashboard KPIs and contract compliance

• Assist in coordinating activities to ensure optimum safety, environmental compliance, plant efficiency, and reliability in line with contracts, agreements, policies, and applicable laws/regulations

• Report on current market developments, analyze energy market structures and regulations, and prepare periodic industry and country reports

• Examine regional price mechanisms, trends, and forecasts as a basis for further financial analysis

• Establish strategic contacts in target markets, develop new business relationships, and maintain existing client relationships

• Manage relations and correspondence with foreign governmental organizations and officials

• Master contractual responsibilities of existing and new contracts and ensure necessary coordination within the Company to fulfill them
