Project-Based Videographer

SUMMARY:

CESA 8 is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Project-Based Videographer to support storytelling, marketing, and professional learning initiatives across our agency and the districts we serve. This role will produce, film, and edit high-quality video content that highlights the impact of our programs, educators, and partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage projects independently, collaborate with internal teams and school partners, and produce compelling visual content that aligns with CESA 8’s mission and brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, shoot, and edit professional-quality video content.
• Collaborate with the Director of Communciations to develop storyboards, shot lists, and production timelines.
• Travel to sites across the region for on-location filming.
• Conduct on-camera interviews with educators, administrators, students, and partners.
• Capture high-quality audio and lighting in a variety of school environments.
• Edit footage into engaging short-form and long-form content for website, social media, and presentations.
• Incorporate branding elements, graphics, animations, captions, and music consistent with CESA 8 standards.
• Manage video file organization, storage, and delivery.
• Ensure appropriate media releases and compliance with student privacy regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals, from four-year-old students to district administrators and community leaders.
• Proven experience in videography and video editing (portfolio required).
• Proficiency in video editing software (DaVinci Resolve is preferred).
• Experience with professional camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording.
• Strong storytelling and visual composition skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• Experience working in educational settings.
• Knowledge of video formats and digital marketing strategies.
• Motion graphics experience
• Drone certification (Part 107) is a plus.
