Project & Development Services - MENA
JLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.
We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.
Role
The Project Controls Manager will oversee project schedules, variations and claims management, and risk mitigation for our Egypt PDS team. You'll ensure contractors meet deliverables, analyze schedule impacts, and provide critical reporting to support successful project delivery within established parameters.
Project Location: New Cairo, Egypt
What this job involves:- Review and approve contractor's work programs and baseline submissions.
- Develop project master schedules and monitor contractor construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, and procurement logs.
- Conduct productivity measurement studies and implement corrective measures.
- Analyze project schedule updates to identify conflicts, optimize workflows, and reduce risks.
- Collaborate with project teams to align simulations with client goals and master schedules.
- Support planning functions including risk assessment, schedule updates, and change management.
- Identify and track changes to project scope, ensuring schedule impacts are communicated to clients.
- Participate in contract administration and claims management.
- Review and challenge or approve contractor's extension of time claims using delay analysis techniques.
- Manage change control processes and assess potential variations and claims.
- Prepare performance reports and variance analyses for management.
- Share lessons learned and mentor team members to promote knowledge transfer.
Desired skills and experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 12+ years of project controls experience.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6).
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
- Experience in Delay Analysis and Claims Management.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Professional certification (PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Egyptian construction sector is a must.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (native speaker).
- Ability to manage multiple projects/packages simultaneously.
