Project Control Specialist (PCS) Journeyman

Position: Project Control Specialist (PCS) Journeyman (LCAT: Project Control Specialist - Journeyman)

Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: BA/BS (or AA/AS plus an additional 4 years of work-related experience)

Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:

  • Formally track all tasks, to include: assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
  • Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
  • Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
  • Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.

Responsibilities:

The Project Control Specialist (PCS) Journeyman provides PCS support in support of the Secretary of the Air Force, Office of Competition (SAF/OC), Mortal Mint program. Mortal Mint is a critical initiative focused on the Counter Threat Finance Platform. The PCS assists Mortal Mint manage its ever-growing project tasks and processes and improves customer care interactions. The PCS implements and manages a robust set task management systems, software and tools, across a wide geographically based customer base to achieve seamless program integration with relevant software, program efficiencies and excellent customer satisfaction. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor project processes, timelines, trends, data and provide reports to stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Support the development of project budgets and tracking expenditures.
  • Identify and escalate project risks, issues, and opportunities to improve for resolution and/or action.
  • Utilize government provided AI tools to discover and apply efficiencies in day-to-day processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Achieve proficiency in assigned tools, new tools, and lean forward into digital solutions that improve processes, speed, velocity and customer care.
  • Manage and track all software licenses, including license type, assignment, renewal dates, and utilization status.
  • As the focal point for license account management, design, implement, and maintain license tracking tools and processes; coordinate with vendors, site leads, and user organizations, and all related points of contact for all licensed software..
  • Coordinate with Mortal PM when license are nearing renewal dates to minimize loss of license, and coordinate with all vendors on all licensed software.
  • Coordinate with user organizations, and their site leads, and serve as the central POC for accounts, access, usernames, and password changes on all project licensed software.
  • Provide quarterly update to Mortal mint Program manager on license status, to include: licenses that are due to be renewed within the next 6 months, status of any requests for new licenses, and any new software.
  • Initiate, monitor, and coordinate completion of tasks through task management tools.
  • Manage government and military DTS travel, office supplies, project conferences and events, and draft and maintain documentation internal SOPs and workflows.
  • May fill in for the Contractor Task Team Lead on occasion.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of work-related experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience managing software licenses.
  • Experience with software asset management tools, methods, inventories, and supporting documentation, to include: manuals, purchase documents, and user documents.
  • Strong verbal, written, and customer service skills.

The following qualifications are desired:

  • Familiarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policies.
  • Experience supporting Air Force and the Intelligence Community.
  • Generative AI/ML knowledge and use, and data skills helpful.
  • Experience identifying unused or underutilized software licenses.
  • Experience drafting, maintaining, and updating SOPs and administrative processes.
  • Experience procuring software licenses.
  • Experience with DTS.

Travel: No travel required.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
