Radius Interior Design is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of interior design projects from procurement through to completion. The ideal candidate will serve as the key liaison between our design team, suppliers, contractors, and site personnel, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors for furniture, fixtures, equipment, and materials
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with a network of reliable suppliers and vendors
- Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any quality or delivery issues
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Coordinate all aspects of project execution in collaboration with the design team
- Liaise between site engineers, site supervisors, and design managers to ensure alignment
- Schedule and coordinate sub-contractors and vendors for site work
- Monitor project timelines and proactively address any delays or obstacles
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee installation and ensure compliance with design specifications
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to management
Documentation & Administration:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and procurement trackers
- Ensure all necessary permits, approvals, and certifications are obtained
- Manage project budgets and track expenditures against approved allocations
- Prepare progress reports and presentations for management review
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all work meets Radius Interior Design's quality standards and client specifications
- Verify that materials and installations comply with relevant regulations and building codes
- Address and resolve any on-site issues or discrepancies promptly
- Conduct quality inspections at various project stages
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the interior design or fit-out industry
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation
- Strong knowledge of interior design materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi and UAE construction regulations and standards
- Excellent understanding of project management principles and practices
Essential Skills
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong negotiation and communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with project management software preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Valid UAE driver's license preferred
