Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Project Coordinator to support our Fire Alarm Construction department. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with Project Managers, field teams, and customers to ensure projects are executed efficiently from start to finish.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to Project Managers and field staff.
  • Assist with project setup, scheduling, submittals, and closeout documentation.
  • Track project progress, change orders, and material orders.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely updates and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate project files, job costing, and reporting.
  • Support invoicing, purchasing, and other project-related administrative functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction project coordination or a closely related field; experience with fire alarm systems or low-voltage installations is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.

Compensation:

$32.00-$38.00/hour (based on experience)

This pay range reflects the compensation rate Fortis Fire & Safety reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and skillset. This role is also eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, pet insurance, short term/long term disability, etc...

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The position requires climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as the ability to work in excess of 40 feet above the ground. Individuals must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite. Heavy equipment may be used, and individuals need to be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. above their head.
