Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our CSD team. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between design and reality, coordinating project activities from the initial client brief through to workshop fabrication and final installation. You will work closely with our skilled carpenters and workshop team while acting as a key point of contact for our clients, ensuring that every project meets our standards for craftsmanship and service.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Workshop & Team Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day activities with workshop supervisors and carpenters to ensure fabrication aligns with project timelines.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular progress updates and addressing inquiries to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Project Lifecycle Support: Support the Project Manager with planning, milestone tracking, and ensuring the workshop queue stays on schedule.
  • Cross-Department Synergy: Liaise with designers and estimators to translate client visions into actionable tasks for the carpentry team.
  • Site & Installation Monitoring: Monitor installation progress on-site, reporting updates and potential risks directly to the Project Manager and the client.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate material deliveries and ensure the workshop team has the specific woods, hardware, and finishes required for each job.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise records, including client change orders, site reports, delivery notes, and final sign-offs.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of joinery and woodworks to ensure they meet design specifications before leaving the workshop.
  • Meeting Management: Organize site meetings and workshop briefings, clearly communicating client feedback and action points to the production team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Project Coordinator specifically within fit-out or joinery environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of carpentry, wood finishes, and furniture fabrication processes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client expectations professionally and lead workshop staff effectively.
  • Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple custom orders and site installations simultaneously.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and joinery details is essential.

Reporting Line

Reports to: General Manager and Assistant manager

Working Conditions

Combination : office and on-site work.
