Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Specialist / Manager, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Commercial Specialist / Manager will be responsible for overseeing business planning and commercial management activities, managing team operations, and handling contract management. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing market trends, developing business strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily project activities and assist the Project Manager with planning and scheduling.
• Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
• Liaise with engineering, mechanical, electrical, and fabrication teams.
• Review work orders, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Maintain project documentation, job cards, material requests, and completion reports.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking, and invoicing processes.
• Ensure compliance with marine regulations, class requirements, and safety standards.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in ship repair, shipyard operations, or marine engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience is an advantage.
