JOB SUMMARY
The OSP Engineering Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering projects related to the deployment and expansion of Ezee Fiber’s fiber-optic network. This role works closely with engineering leadership, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are tracked, documented, and executed efficiently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support the coordination and tracking of OSP engineering projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
- Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and construction partners to ensure project timelines and deliverables are maintained.
- Manage purchase order requests, tracking, and documentation for engineering-related projects.
- Create and maintain enterprise job numbers for project tracking, reporting, and operational visibility.
- Review and verify vendor invoices, billing documentation, and change orders for accuracy.
- Serve as a central point of communication between the engineering team and internal departments.
- Assist engineering leadership with project escalations, reporting requirements, and operational research.
- Participate in utility coordination meetings and track follow-up items related to permitting and infrastructure coordination.
- Maintain organized records of engineering documentation, project updates, and vendor communications.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and operational workflows within the engineering department.
- Perform additional administrative and coordination duties as needed to support engineering operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirements: an associate degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management or a related field (preferred) or a high school diploma or equivalent (required). Minimum of two (2) years in project coordination, engineering support, telecommunications, construction, or infrastructure department.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment.
- Experience working with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors in a telecommunications or infrastructure environment is preferred.
