Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities from initiation to completion. The role includes both office-based coordination and on-site supervision to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing project schedules, timelines, and progress tracking reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project updates and approvals.
- Ensure all drawings, materials, and technical submissions are reviewed and approved prior to execution.
- Supervise daily site activities and ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Monitor site progress and report daily accomplishments, delays, and manpower utilization.
- Ensure that all on-site works comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Verify and inspect material deliveries and ensure proper installation as per design intent.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with photos and updates.
- Maintain project records, site correspondences, and inspection logs.
- Support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and inspection requests (IRs).
- Ensure all permits, approvals, and NOCs are obtained prior to starting site activities.
- Attend coordination and site meetings with clients, consultants, and mall management.
- Communicate effectively between design, procurement, and site teams to resolve technical or execution issues.
- Follow up on RFIs, variation works, and material submissions.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures in line with project HSE plans.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site compliance with permit-to-work systems.
- Ensure quality checks are performed before inspections and final handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years’ experience in fit-out or construction project coordination.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD drawings, MS Project, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- UAE driving license (is a must).
