Role Purpose

The Project Engineer drives day-to-day coordination and technical control of site works, ensuring execution in line with approved drawings, specifications, authority regulations, programme, quality standards, and HSE requirements. The role interfaces across construction, planning, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, subcontractors, and consultants to keep the project moving without claims or rework.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily/weekly site activities in line with the baseline and look-ahead programmes; remove roadblocks to meet targets.
• Review IFC/shop drawings, specs, and coordinated models; raise RFIs/technical queries for discrepancies.
• Prepare/implement Method Statements, ITPs, and task-specific risk assessments in coordination with QA/QC & HSE.
• Coordinate with consultants for WIR/MIR inspections and close non-conformities and snags within agreed timeframes.
• Track materials and procurement (submittals, approvals, LPOs, deliveries, MTOs) and manage storage/handling on site.
• Manage subcontractor scope, progress, and work fronts; verify measurements and support progress billing.
• Lead interfaces across structure, architectural finishes, MEP, façade/fit-out, PT/raft/core walls, climbing/slip-form systems.
• Monitor resources (manpower, plant, productivity) and recommend optimisation to achieve plan.
• Maintain as-builts, redlines, handover dossiers, O&M collation, and authority close-out documentation.
• Compile daily/weekly reports, delay/event logs, risk registers, and support variation/EOT substantiation with records.
• Enforce company HSE standards and housekeeping; conduct toolbox talks with Foremen/Engineers as needed.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong grasp of high-rise construction methods (PT slabs, shear walls, cores, façades, finishes) and sequencing.
• Excellent coordination with QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and multiple subcontractors.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specs; solid report writing and correspondence.
• Result-driven, organised, and calm under pressure; proactive problem-solver with attention to detail.

Tools / Software

AutoCAD, MS Office (advanced Excel), MS Project/Primavera (reading look-aheads), Aconex/EDMS; familiarity with BIM coordination is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Society of Engineers – UAE membership preferred; DM/DDA/Trakhees exposure required.
• Minimum 8–10 years of site execution/coordination experience on UAE/GCC high-rise projects (mandatory).
• UAE Driving Licence preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
