Job Title: Project Coordinator/Assistant Planning Engineer

Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator cum Assistant Planning Engineer supports the planning and execution of construction projects by coordinating schedules, managing documentation, monitoring progress, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. This role ensures projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget by combining project coordination, planning, and performance monitoring functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed reports, timelines, and track project milestones.
  • Ensure alignment of project plans with overall objectives and contractual requirements.
  • Assist in baseline schedule preparation and tracking of project progress.

Project Coordination & Communication:

  • Act as a central point of contact between project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication across all stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Manage and maintain project documentation such as RFIs, contracts, drawings, submittals, and change orders.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates.
  • Ensure proper document control and version tracking.

Monitoring & Performance Analysis:

  • Track project progress against schedules and identify deviations.
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement. .

Meeting Management:

  • Organize and coordinate project meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and record accurate minutes.
  • Follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.

Risk & Change Management:

  • Identify potential risks, delays, and constraints affecting project delivery.
  • Assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Support change management processes, including documentation and impact assessment of variations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (QS optional, not primary)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or project coordination in high-rise projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project (strongly recommended)
  • Experience in UAE/GCC construction industry
  • Strong skills in reporting, coordination, and document control
  • Ability to analyze schedules and monitor project performance
