Project Cost Controller

Floatex Solar is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead commercial control and project finance across its floating solar portfolio.

The role will work closely with project, procurement, and finance teams to ensure strong budget discipline, cost visibility, and healthy project cash flows.

This position offers high exposure to large-scale renewable energy projects and an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening financial governance as the organisation scales.

Key Responsibilities

Project Budgeting & Cost Control

Develop and manage project-wise budgets in coordination with project teams

Track budget vs actual vs forecast and highlight variances

Support change order evaluation and cost approvals

Payment & Commercial Governance

Review and approve payments in line with approved budgets and internal policies

Ensure alignment between contracts, purchase orders, and invoices

Facilitate timely payments while maintaining cost discipline

Project Financial Performance

Monitor project margins and overall financial health

Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability

Support commercial closure and finalisation of project accounts

Cash Flow & Working Capital

Prepare periodic cash flow forecasts

Assist in payment prioritisation and vendor exposure tracking

Support leadership with financial inputs for decision-making

Processes, Controls & MIS

Strengthen internal controls and approval workflows

Improve financial reporting and dashboards

Collaborate on system and process improvements as the business grows

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with:

Project execution teams

Procurement

Accounts & compliance

Senior management

Act as a finance partner to business teams

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)

Experience

8–12 years of relevant experience

Background in EPC / infrastructure / power / renewable energy preferred

Exposure to project-based financial management and cost control

Skills & Attributes

Strong commercial understanding

Structured and detail-oriented

Ability to work cross-functionally

Clear communication and sound judgement
