About the Role

Octagon International Qatar is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with mandatory Oil & Gas project expertise. The role involves managing project costs, contracts, and commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and cost efficiency in complex EPC environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdown structures, and tender documents.
• Analyze IFC drawings, specifications, and scope of work for accurate quantity take-offs.
• Administer contracts in line with EPC and FIDIC conditions, including variations and claims.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and prepare periodic cost reports for management.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
• Support tendering process with complete commercial documentation and cost analysis.
• Assess cost impacts of change orders, scope variations, and contractual adjustments.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, planning, and project management teams to ensure cost control.
• Prepare final account statements and assist in project close-out activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of proven QS experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects – mandatory.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost control software.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with EPC contracts and FIDIC conditions is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory.
• Currently based in Qatar.
• Valid NOC and transferable visa.
• Ready to join immediately.
