We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Designer with proven experience in the design and build construction sector to join our creative team! As a key contributor, you will transform concepts into compelling visual and technical designs, ensuring projects meet aesthetic, functional, and technical standards.

Your role will involve collaborating closely with clients and construction teams to develop detailed plans that bring visions to life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your design expertise across diverse projects. This is a commission-only position, ideal for an entrepreneurial professional who excels in a results-oriented, independent environment.

Duties

• Consult with clients to assess project needs and develop customized design solutions.
• Develop comprehensive design concepts by hand and using software such as SketchUp, Chief Architect, Lumina Pro, and ArchiCAD to create accurate 3D models and visualizations.
• Prepare accurate proposals, drawings, and estimates in compliance with building codes
• Negotiate and close sales to meet or exceed performance targets
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities, proposals, and client communications
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction
• Collaborate with project teams to produce technical documentation including CAD drawings, schematics, and construction details that adhere to project specifications.
• Assist in creating 2D animations and graphic presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry

Experience

• Prior experience in design and build construction required.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently
• Strong skills in drafting, schematics development, and technical documentation for construction or interior projects.
• Strong math and analytical skills for measurements, estimates, and pricing.
• Experience with JobTread in pricing, proposals and contracts is a plus.
• Experience in 2D animation or visual storytelling is a plus for creating engaging presentations.
• Knowledge of construction processes and building codes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple designs and sales efficiently.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
