To support its growth, Renecore Energy is now looking for a Project Development Engineer to support the development of wind and solar power plant investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the project development team for the development process of the existing projects, identify & evaluate potential wind and solar project sites both in Turkey and abroad,
• Managing the permitting and regulatory compliance process for obtaining all necessary administrative permits,
• Managing all aspects of project development, including site selection, land acquisition, environmental assessments, roads design, forest/pasture and non-agricultural allocation permits, base maps, ground studies, energy transmission line, zoning and expropriation plans, CapEx and O&M costs,
• Gathering inputs from all stakeholders (technical, commercial, financial, environmental, public, regulatory) to evaluate project and portfolio value,
• Participation in the acquisitions of land rights process including negotiation with landowners and follow up with government authorities,
• Supporting the preparation and communication of reports, records, budget, timeline, contracts, and notes on the projects,
• Establishing and managing positive relationships with the third parties involved in projects development: governmental offices, regulatory authorities, elected officials, public services, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, residents, landowners, locals,
• Preparation of projects for pre-license /license applications and to follow related regulations and sub-regulation with the projects and ongoing business,
• Support the team for domestic and international wind and solar power plant tenders,
• Assisting with internal development procedures & policies preparations and approvals,
• Supporting the team for financial model creation and updates,
• Providing support for conducting feasibility studies for investment decisions and project acquisitions/sales,

Key Requirements and Competencies

• BSc/MSc degree in Renewable Energy or relevant engineering discipline,
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in development of wind/solar energy projects in Türkiye,
• Good command of English in both speaking and writing,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, solution provider,
• Good knowledge of Energy market laws & regulations,
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization,
• Good team player with strong social skills and high influencing skills,
• Experience with mapping, engineering and atmospheric modeling tools (Google Earth, Netcad, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, PVSyst),
• Motivated to pursue a career in Renewables,
• Based in Istanbul with a strong will to frequently travel to project sites,
