Job Title Project Director

Location: Saudi Arabia


Role Purpose

Responsible for the execution and control of a project. This role involves supervising Project

Manager, ensuring project is completed safely, in the expected quality, on schedule and within

budget, while adhering to contract scope. The Project Director plays a critical role in facilitating

communication with senior client representatives and the assigned Project Management and

Engineering teams.


Key Accountabilities Key Activities

1.Project and Operations Management

  • Oversee a project or a group of Project Managers and ensure effective project execution.
  • Review and approve HSE Plans.
  • Manage execution in accordance with QESH requirements

2.Team Coordination and Support

  • Communicate with client representatives and monitor project progress.
  • Organize team meetings to ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor performance and provide guidance to managers.

3.Document Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of projects and operations.
  • Prepare regular reports on project progress and compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy of internal reports before submission.

4.Budget and Resource Management

  • Monitor project budgets and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage expenses.

5.Stakeholder Communication and Liaison

  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative matters among stakeholders.
  • Address inquiries and provide timely assistance


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Industry / Domain

  • Construction industry

Necessary Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in mega projects.
  • Strong understanding of management processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Skills in planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Education and Certification Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards related to management processes is advantageous.

Job Specific Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office management tools.
  • Familiarity with document management software and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
