Project Director
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead large-scale projects from initiation through completion. The Project Director will oversee project planning, execution, budgeting, stakeholder management, and team leadership while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive project management experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee multiple projects and project teams simultaneously
- Develop project strategies, execution plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure project delivery aligns with company objectives, quality standards, and client expectations
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and consultants
- Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes
- Monitor project progress and prepare executive-level reports
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and government authorities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Review contracts, project scope, and commercial obligations
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and develop project managers and project staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Minimum 15+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, construction, EPC, oil & gas, or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong financial and commercial management experience
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and high-value projects
