Provide overall leadership and accountability for delivery of assigned project(s) from contract award through completion and close-out, ensuring HSE, quality, schedule, cost, margin, and client satisfaction objectives are achieved. Own the project execution strategy, governance, resource planning, risk and change control, and stakeholder management—driving predictable delivery and strong commercial outcomes.
Policies, processes & procedures:

Develops and oversees the implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of finance functional activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

Budget/Financial

Prepares and recommends the department budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.

Monitors the financial performance of the section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Day-to-day operations:

Responsible for leading asigned project project including liaising with the client; coordinating and leading partners; supervising members of the project team and project managers; and overseeing project implementation.

Establish project governance: organization structure, RACI, reporting cadence, decision forums, and stage-gate controls.
-
Approve and drive the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and ensure integrated execution across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Yard/Marine operations (as applicable).

Financial Own contract interpretation and compliance: scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, warranties, LDs, payment milestones, and key risks.

Lead commercial strategy with Contracts/Legal to protect company interests and ensure contractual discipline in correspondence and notifications.
-
Protect project margin through robust cost control, productivity improvement, and proactive claims/variation management.and administrative oversight, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Demonstrate leadership in making critical decisions, operating at a strategic and tactical level.

Receive regular reports from project managers or team leads. Thereafter, report directly to senior management and JV board.

Manage Engineering, Procurement, Construction and handover process with required quality within the allocated budget.

Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions.

Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress.

Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships.

Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.

Managing risks to avoid delays, cost increase or reputational damage. Convert risks and treats to opportunities.

Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations governing the project.

Moving with the project team during execution phase from engineering office to construction site.

Ensure the design is safe and principles of ALARP and Safety in Design are adhered to.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / marine engineering / Naval Architect or equivalent

Experience
15–20+ years in project delivery, with 5–8+ years leading large projects as Project Director / Senior PM.
Strong track record in EPC / shipbuilding / ship repair / offshore projects (as applicable).
Demonstrated competence in contracts, change/claims, schedule and cost control, and stakeholder management.
