Project Director (High-Rise/Steel Structures)

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director (High-Rise/Steel Structures) to join our Riyadh team. In this role you will lead the construction phase of a multi-story tower - high-rise development with complex steelwork frame, overseeing site execution, contractor coordination, and delivery of all works to the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and proven experience in managing complex, high-rise construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Construction Management: Lead and manage all construction activities on-site, ensuring alignment with approved design and specifications; oversee installation of complex steelwork frames, trusses, and basement structures; ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local codes.

• Project Execution & Delivery: Develop and manage detailed construction schedules, logistics plans, and resource allocation; monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of milestones; coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth execution.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities during construction; facilitate clear and timely communication across all parties; manage contract administration, claims, and change orders.

• Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary site team including construction managers, engineers, and supervisors; promote a culture of accountability, safety, and performance; mentor and support team development.

• Risk & Quality Control: Identify and mitigate construction risks proactively; implement robust quality assurance and control procedures; monitor budget, cost control, and cash flow during construction.

What You'll Bring - Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

• Minimum 25 years of experience in construction management of high-rise or technically complex projects.

• Strong expertise in steel structures, basement works, and high-rise logistics.

• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in the region.

• PMP, RICS, or similar certification is a plus.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
