Job Overview

Tech Ideas Qatar is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Director – Oil & Gas EPC to lead large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will oversee project execution, manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure operational excellence, and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end EPC project execution for oil and gas projects
• Develop project strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource planning
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success
• Monitor project progress, risks, and performance to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
• Manage client relationships, contractor coordination, and stakeholder communications
• Oversee contract administration, project controls, and cost management
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and commercial project issues
• Conduct project reviews, reporting, and performance evaluations for senior management
• Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and technical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Master’s Degree or PMP Certification is an advantage
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC project management
• Strong knowledge of EPC processes, construction management, and oil & gas operations
• Experience handling large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and international project regulations
• Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project environments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
